The masthead area is 1 3/4 inches from the top of the words TAX NEWS & TIPS to the top of the page 
and 7 1/2 inches wide.

 

The placement of the title TAX NEWS & TIPS and the issue date are fixed.
The masthead area is separated from the contents of the newsletter by three horizontal lines.

Masthead Layouts

Layout 1 - Information is Balanced Left & Right. This example has NAEA & CSEA logos.
                    The type style is Times Roman.

 

 

Layout 2 - Most of the information is on the Left.
                    The practitioner's name is in a script type style.
                    The message is Arial type style.
                    The address & phone are in Times Roman.

 

 

Layout 3 - Firm Name Centered. Other information left & right balanced.

Mailing Flap

The return address is printed on the mailing flap area.

We will also print a postal endorsement if requested.

The following examples included the "Return Service Requested" postal endorsement.

If you use a Bulk Rate Permit we will also print the permit information if requested.

Type Styles

The type styles available for your masthead & return address are almost unlimited.
We recommend that you limit layouts to two or at most three type styles.

The most commonly used type styles are listed below.
The size of the type style is up to you.

 

TYPE STYLE T1 is a serif style, New Times Roman.

New Times Roman - This is the style used in the body of the newsletter.

New Times Roman - The bold is often used with the firm or practitioner's name.

New Times Roman Italic - Italic is used to emphasis services & messages.
                                    Example:
Bookkeeping, Audit Representation, Payroll Records

 

TYPE STYLE T2 is a sans serif style, Arial.

Arial - This is the style used for the issue date.
            Example: MID YEAR 2010

Arial Bold - This is the style used for the title TAX NEWS & TIPS.
                       This style is also used for headlines in the newsletter.

Arial Italic - Italic is used to emphasis services & messages.

 

SCRIPT TYPE STYLES Several script styles are available.
The masthead layouts #1 & #3 show two script styles.
